Manitoba Ground Chaga
An immune support supplement from the Canadian forest, sustainably harvested from white birch trees (Betula papyrifera).
Chaga is a medicinal mushroom that grows on birch trees (here in Canada) and has been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years. Compared to other plants, Chaga contains one of the highest levels of anti-oxidants which has boosted its popularity as a natural cancer treatment. Chaga has potent immune supporting properties because of its immune stimulating phytochemicals. It also contains betulinic acid and super oxide dismutase which protect against oxide damage and neutralize free radicals in the body! Regular use of this tea has been said to alkalize the body, calm the nervous system, cleanse the liver and kidneys, eliminate unwanted metals from the body, prevent early aging, repair DNA and also improve adrenal function!
How to make Chaga tea:
Heat water and allow to cool for about a minute after boiling. Pour water over 1-2 heaping teaspoons of Chaga in The Wall* tea infuser or teapot. Steep for a minimum of 15 minutes. An alternate method is to allow Chaga to simmer on the stove for up to an hour at a low heat or in a crockpot to make a larger batch.
Store Chaga tea in the refrigerator for up to 14 days and reuse grounds up to 3 times. The tea will become lighter in colour with each use. Taste is relatively subtle and earthy.
Drink 1-3 cups per day
